Intensive OCD Program

Intensive OCD Program

Do your OCD symptoms make it hard to work, attend school, or take care of your family?

Are spending so many hours each day engaging in repetitive behaviors or fighting intrusive thoughts that you’re having difficulty getting important things done?

Have you already tried weekly exposure and response prevention for OCD without substantial progress?

Are you interested in putting in the time and energy into treatment now, if it means that you can experience gains more quickly than in traditional weekly therapy?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, an OCD Intensive Program at Rise might be a good fit for you. The program, developed by Rise founders Dr. Melissa Dufrene and Dr. Kristin Fitch, utilizes an exposure and response prevention (ERP) treatment plan that is integrated with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and a holistic approach to overall wellness. The program is offered as a virtual group for adults and as an individual program, which can be conducted virtually or in-person.

Intensive Virtual Group for Adults with OCD

This Rise program is a group-based treatment program for adults that is conducted virtually through a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom video. Our typical intensive program is a 3-week program that meets daily for two to three hours in a group format. The treatment elements will be implemented during group sessions and supported by once weekly individual sessions.

Additional Considerations: Due to legal requirements, participants must be located in Louisiana during all virtual sessions. If a participant cannot be in Louisiana during the group, participation could be permissible. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and must be brought to the attention of Dr. Dufrene or Dr. Fitch at least one month prior to the start of the group.

Intensive Virtual or In-Person Program for Individuals

Rise also offers intensive programming for individuals in-person or via a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom video. This program uses ACT-enhanced ERP like our group program, but can be individualized further when conducted on a one-to-one basis. Typically this intensive program lasts for three weeks, meeting daily for two to three hours.
