Dr. Lilly is completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Rise Center for OCD and Anxiety, where she provides in-person and virtual psychotherapy to children and adolescents with OCD and anxiety disorders, as well as parent support. Dr. Lilly moved from Alabama to New Orleans to begin her bachelor’s degree nine days before Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. After spending her “Katrina semester” at Louisiana State University (LSU) and the spring semester studying abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece, she returned to the University of New Orleans and earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology in 2009. Dr. Lilly then worked for two years as a research assistant at Tulane Medical Center on a clinical trial for children with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
She earned her PhD at LSU in Clinical Psychology (child emphasis) in 2017. During her graduate training, Dr. Lilly was a member of the Laboratory for Anxiety, Phobia, & Internalizing Disorder Studies (LAPIS). Dr. Lilly worked at several outpatient pediatric and specialty medical clinics, providing consultation-liaison services for children, in addition to cognitive-behavioral interventions and parent-training. She also led several Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) groups for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, as well as their parents.
Dr. Lilly completed her pre-doctoral internship in Pediatric Psychology at Duke University Medical Center where she received training and experience in the behavioral and neuropsychological changes that occur secondary to disease processes and various medical treatment regimens. She conducted comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with patients from a range of specialty medical clinics and provided individual and family therapy services for children adjusting to chronic illness or chronic pain conditions.
In 2023, Dr. Lilly joined the team at Rise to complete postdoctoral training, under the supervision of Dr. Melissa Dufrene, prior to independent licensure. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and OCD in children and adolescents. Dr. Lilly has additional expertise treating medically ill youth and also works with parents to teach them how to best support their anxious child. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatment to improve the daily functioning and overall quality of life for children and families.
